Backstory: Ian began his career as a gamer at the age of 11 when he was introduced to Magic: The Gathering. This cardboard gateway drug introduced him to a number of people who would later form the core of his lifetime gaming group. In high school, he and his friends dove headfirst into as many games as they could get their nerdy hands on. Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer (both 40k and Fantasy), World of Darkness, and dozens more. He skipped his high school prom to confront a lich that had killed his dwarven brother. Totally worth it. In college, Ian was introduced to Warmachine, which blew away any miniature game he had played previously.
Ian is currently working (slowly) on a Protectorate of Menoth army and runs a D&D game where he terrorizes his friends with near death experiences.
Outside of gaming, Ian spends nearly all his time listening to over the top fantasy metal, watching absolutely terrible horror movies, or doting on his equally-geeky wife and clumsy cats. |
