Title: Encounters: Double Sessions?
Post by: Jess on August 26, 2010, 04:13:42 PM
Something I was wondering about was how it would work out if we doubled up encounters to 2 sessions a night and did it every other week.

Part of this is my own selfishess to have a night free for WoW:tcg without the raid going to 1am.

Part of it is how short encounters can be. Some of the people who randomly show up (and don't come back again) have even commented on the short nature of the game or have just been like "that's it???". Luckily we live neverby but I can see how if you have any form of travel time playing a game for an hour; hour and a half can be really frustrating.
Plus I would love to have the game run longer when we play instead of the little mini sessions.

Just putting it out there to see if anyone has an interest?

Now that the setting book is out, you are no longer only limited to D&D Encounters. Find a volunteer DM and change it to Darksun campaign night. You could even keep a similar format where you run shorted less involved "encounters". A sort of informal game rather than a "campaign" (which I tend to think of as more intense).

We all like playing the encounters games, Todd has already come up with a Dark Sun campaign if we wanted to run a real game as well.
We also seem to have limited game day availibility. If we wanted to do another game at BG on a Wednesday night it wouldn't happen. We sould be sitting in a tent in the parking lot for lack of room.
