Look At The New ‘Imperial Veterans’ Booster For ‘Star Wars: X-Wing’

Hey Star Wars: X-Wing fans. It looks like a new expansion will be releasing in March. Check out the new Imperial Veterans. According to the images, it looks like players will be getting a TIE Bomber as well as a red TIE defender. Inside the box you’ll also get “…eight veteran pilots and 13 upgrade cards, and a new Disable the Relays mission card.” The MSRP has been set at $29.99.

Go On An Epic Journey With The ‘Ultimate Star Wars Medley’ By Player:Piano

It was kind of a slow day in the neighborhood as far as gaming news goes. So here is something cool that I covered as far as nerd culture goes. A musical group by the name Player:Piano released a new video today on their YouTube channel. They’re well known for their on-the-spot covers of video game songs. Some of those songs include Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and the Moon Theme from Duck Tales.
This time around, they’ve gone and created a 10-minute video called the “Ultimate Star Wars Medley.” This epic cover spans the score of all six movies. It’s so good that I’ve had it on repeat for most of the day. And if you’re friends with me on Facebook, you may have noticed all the link to my coverage today. This is for those of you who haven’t seen it yet. So without further ado, enjoy the show!
Player:Piano is mainly made up of pianist Sonya Belousova and filmmaker Tom Grey.

Format: 100 points
Date: June 6th, 2015
Time: Round 1 begins at 10:00 am, Doors open at 9:00 am

We do require participants to submit squadron lists to us by Wednesday, June 3rd. We will varrify each list before the tournament begins in an effort to avoid any problems during the event. They will be kept confidential. To submit your squadron list, please click here or contact us.
The tournaments will follow the standard Fantasy Flight tournament rules. Each round will last 60 minutes. The number of rounds will be based on attendance, followed by a cut to a top eight single-elimination playoff.
TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT:
Preregistration is REQUIRED to participate in this event. We are not registering potential participants at the door. Please click here and use our online shopping cart to preregister. You will not need to produce proof of purchase on the day of the event (you don’t need to print out and bring the receipt). At checkout please select “Event Registration – X-Wing Regional Tournament” for your shipping method.
Please use a real email address when creating your user ID for the online store. We will be using this to contact you should the location of the event change (larger space) or to collect your squadron lists as the date approaches.

Fantasy Flight Games to Release New ‘Star Wars: Imperial Assault’ Expansion Packs

Fantasy Flight Games will release three new Ally and Villain Packs for its popular Star Wars: Imperial Assault miniatures and adventure board game in Q3: Wookiee Warriors, Hired Guns and Stormtroopers, according to hobby industry news website ICv2.com
The Wookie Warriors Ally Pack adds two plastic Wookiee miniatures with new command cards as well as a new skirmish map. MSRP is $12.95.
The Stormtrooper Villain Pack reinforces the legions of Stormtrooper armies with three new stormtrooper figures with an alternate sculpt. The pack also includes the new Vader’s Fist Agenda set, which allows the player to goad the Rebels into an attempt to sabotage a 501st Legion training facility. The skirmish upgrade offers two new abilities to any stormtrooper squad, representing the training of the 501st Legion. MSRP is $14.95.
The Hired Guns Villain Pack introduces mercenaries which will fight for either side, whomever the highest bidder may be. There are two Rodian miniatures to represent the mercenaries. The pack adds a three-card Agenda set that includes a new side mission campaign, as well as adding muscle to skirmish armies. There is a new skirmish map that includes two new missions in the sewers of Nar Shaddaa, and four new Command cards. MSRP is $12.95.
