This is to John and anyone else.
Any interest in trying to get some games of Epic and/or BFG in once my summer break gets here? I have my fully painted BFG fleet and will probably work on finishing painting my epic Guard army. I'd love to play more Epic since I have this force, but there's just not that many players around. John I know you don't know the new Armageddon rules though. ;D

Hey Rob,
You can count on a few games of BFG over the summer; the Imperial Fleet needs to get out of dock. As for Epic, I don't have an army in the new Armageddon format. Could give it a try though.
Talk to you soon.

Great to hear John. We'll have to schedule some as the summer gets closer.
As for Epic, I'm not sure if you've read over the rules or not but it seems to me (not having played the previous version) that the army composition is a lot more general. I know you talked about how specific building lists were in previous versions, but now it's usually just a unit so you wouldn't need to worry about what "exactly" is modeled on them.

So I checked what I had assembled and painted for Epic-Space Marine way back when and I have around 2,500 points of Blood Angels for Armageddon. That includes the points for an old style Warlord Titan!

:o Looks like I may need to use my Land Train and Colossus if I'm facing that.

Hey Guys,
I'm very interested in learning Epic, so I'm gonna keep an eye on this topic to see when you're playing and maybe come watch if you don't mind.

No problem. I have 2 epic armies, so if you ever want to play a small game once my break starts I'd be happy to.

What armies are there for Epic anyway?

Games Workshop makes:
Imperial Guard
Chaos
Eldar
Orks
Space Marines
While Forge World makes (beautifully for the size, I might add):
Daemonhunters
Tau
and additional/updated models for the other armies GW makes. You can also find older things online (Squats, for example, which is one of my armies).

i would also like to learn how to play epic sometime

The current version of Epic (Epic: Armageddon) is very easy to learn! It's much more about tactics than the actual phases, which gives it an easier learning curve.

All I know of Epic is tiny tiny tiny models and then the PC Game.
