How big should the base size of an objective be?
-
Rich,
I don't think it matters as long as you and your opponent agree. However if playing a game with more than one then they should all be about the same size.
If I had to pick I'd say no smaller than a terminator base.
Cheers,
Alan

Normal infantry - terminator base seems good to me.

Man up and make buildings objectives.

Bio Titan up and make no man's land an objective.

Bio Titan up and make no man's land an objective.
That would make for quite a bloody game.

Sounds like a pretty cool scenario.

You might consider experimenting with it. Note, I don't think every single objective needs to be the same size. You might try different stuff on different tables.

I just did up a couple crashed sentinels for objectives on the slightly smaller than 60mm base (epic titan base). Couldn't fit on a 40mm but thought the theme was cool and I had a few one legged sentinels sitting around. (Thanks, Steve D!)

er.... why?

A while ago Steve D let me go through a bunch of bits he was throwing out. Among them werfe broken models and such. I figured they could be salvaged for something but what I wasn't sure. So they collected dust for a year and when I was working on my renegades, it dawned on me how cool it would be to use them as objectives. Sentinels are normally recon vehicles after all.

I like broken stuff and dead stuff as objectives...usually on terminator bases.
-
that's why i have 2 dead space marines for objectives (when Brad gave me broken legs)
-
Yep Ide go with anything that looks cool and funtions well.
Your welcome Rich.

Rather than striving to capture bits of dead space marine, I find it more interesting and fluffy to create more dead space marines. The 40K universe needs more dead space marines.
But that's just me. ;)
I've got a set of six barrels, but that's hardly interesting. I try to encourage rumors that the barrels are full of ale.
