Title: stromraven gunship, where art thou?

first question is when does it come out as an official gw product or can i convert/proxy it now? second off is it worth the 200 pts and 30 more to add side sponsoons of hurricane bolters?

fast skimmer. bs4 fast skimmer. it carries 12 infantry, and 1 dreadnought in the grapple. has blood missles x4, twinlinked assault cannon and heavy bolter/multimelta. it ignores the extra d6 for melta weapons. and troops that embark can assault same turn.

not to mention its a mini version of the thunderhawk (a steve d certified vehicle)

I dont see why the sponsens would be a bad idea since they are strength 4 and count as secondary weapons which means you can shoot them after moving 12 in addition to one strength 5 or higher.

You can convert one now just expect lots of critiqing from other blood angel players. The way the thing is desribed in my opinion should have a forward nose section like a thunder hawk and like the thunder hawk drop ship should have a long enough back to have clamps to hold a dread. I say look at the Forge World Thunder Hawk Transporter and the Regular Thunder Hawk to get design ideas.

i was thinking of using the valkyrie, putting the twin-linked lascannon somewhere, the hurricane bolters on the sides, and using the guns on there as the twinlinked assault cannons, the putting 2 big missles under each wing for the bloodstrike missles. would this be acceptable for the doubles tournament and wyswyg? do the people i carry actually have to fit in the vehicle or could i just scoop them off the board and say "theyre in there"?

Try putting 10 marines in a rhino and let me know what you think the answer is. ;)

I'd try to do a bit more of the conversion work.  It won't make anyone happy, yourself included, to just see a Valkyrie with different weapons.  A valk might be a great base for it, though.

Rumor mill has the stormraven comming out with the Grey Knights towards the end of the year.
