for my blood angels assault squad plus a sanguinary priest what is the ideal weapon layout:
a hand flamer and infernus pistol for special weapons or meltagun and flamer? i thought of both arguments, the pistols means two extra s5 attacks on a charge, but less range and power.
also, is there a cheaper way to get ten assault marines then buying two packs? i was thinking of buying khorne berserkers then buying ten jump packs? or would this look dumb?

well, they would have chaos bodies, which i wouldn't like for blood angles

What if they were 90 degree angles?

^ like
but anyway, i think you should just get assault squads. it's only slightly more expesnive, and will look exactly how they should. as opposed to khorne assault marines.

agreed. as for the weapon layout. is it worth the 10 more points to get two more attacks? or is it better to get the bits and have a stronger flamer and a meltagun that can actually get the melta bonus.
-
take one melta pistol, thats it. the assault squad isnt really designed for tank hunting, so it's a good "just in case" weapon. i would throw a meltabomb on the sergeant if you are able. they can be tank hunters, but that requires reworking basically all their equipment.

i was thinking the same, since really theyd need to HUNT the tank, which is not a good idea, a more effective way of shutting down mechanized is by just assaulting anything not wrapped in steel

I love you.
-
huh? i dont get it. people play mechanized, dont YOU play mechanized?
another option is to pay for vanguards as cptn suggested but isnt that alot more points plus losing scoring models?
-
Maybe
