Title: Another potential new player
Post by: filthgrinder on October 25, 2010, 11:47:09 AM
Well, since Warmachines appears to be the new current hotness, I've started to look into the game. I was thinking of picking up the Cryx Battlebox at Abington that has been calling to me. Do people mostly play in Abington on Thursday? I noticed some folks playing on Saturday when I came in for GammaWorld. Do people play on Saturday as well? (since I've got other games on Thursday)

The bigger question is, would anyone be willing to help out a noob if I were to get the battlebox set (and assemble and paint it)? I don't mind losing a ton to learn the game, so don't worry about completely crushing me.

Awesome news, Todd!

As far as I know, the guys typically get together on Thursday nights in Abington.

Also, a small group of newer players are learning and playing together on Tuesday nights in Plainville.  Tim Clifford is usually here and I know he loves Battlebox games.

Also, Saturdays mornings / afternoons in Plainville are usually a good time to come down and get some games in.  The guys you saw in Abington this past week are normally in Plainville on Saturdays.

Everyone would be more than happy to help.

Thursdays in Abington and Saturdays in Plainville are the busiest times.

Saturdays in Plainville might work out well. I'm usually in Abington on Thursdays for my regular games, so I might just bother folks there while waiting for my group to show up.

Now I just need to swing by and grab the minis.

Then I get to do an epic fail paint job on them.

On Saturdays, a few of us do some painting and assembling after a game or two. We'd be more than happy to give you some help with your painting.
