Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone was intrested in a 15point escalation league.we start out with 15 points for a few games then keep adding 5 or 10 till we are at 35,painting the force as we go along.for those who dont have a painted or partially painted warband.this will be great for a lot of the new commers as well as the vets may encourage people to paint there forces.anyway just an idea any one down for this?
-
I would be potentially interested. Would depend on the building and time, but count me as a tentative yes :)
-
I am going to put together some ideas for the calendar for December and Jan today... I'll keep this in mind.
Off the top I think I'd like to run it on Saturdays maybe starting at 12:00pm if it happens in Plainville. Thoughts?
-
That would work with me :)
-
I really like the idea, because it give people who are just starting out a chance to play with a small list, and then build it up.we could do either venue or every other what ever you want chase.also we could annouce it soon and do it in decenber or january giving people time to plan for it. thanks jg

If it involves playing Warmachine, you know I'm in.
-
sounds very interesting.

I would be down for something like this.

Well then it looks like I need to work on making this idea a reality. And it would be nice if I had details hammered out by the Steamroller, wouldn't it?
Looks like I've got a bit of work to do.
What sort of time table would you guys like to work with?
15 - 1 week
20 - 1 week
25 - 1 week
30 - 1 week
35 - 2 weeks
35pt Steamroller at the end, assuming the Nov 13th event goes well?
Does painting 5 points a week seem reasonable?
I need to look into what Privateer has going on...
Christmas and New Years Day also fall on Saturdays this year, so that sucks. I don't want to wait that long to start but I also don't want to take a massive break in the middle of a league.
Ideas?
-
i think if we start it chase with everyone understanding the break also would be a great time with the down time to possibly paint the figs that need painting.i really thinkg this will go over well.maybe we can contact the snake man and see if he has any ideas?

If painting is required - not in
If painting is not required - in

damn..

i dont think painting is required just encouraged.so by the end you have your band painted.

Sadly, I am going to have to postpone this until later in 2011. With the way the holidays land and an exciting January calendar about to roll out I don't think running a Saturday league in Plainville is going to work out.
The month of December is basically wide open though. The only Saturday event at either store is a Malifaux tournament on Dec 18th in Abington.
Definitely feel free to swing by Abington on Thursday nights or Plainville on Saturday mornings / afternoons to get some gaming in.

I would definitively like in on this league if it happens.
this was my common approach for new 40K armies and it worked well for me.

Due to scheduling conflicts this has been put on the back burner.
