Title: [Plainville MA] Warhammer 40k Mini Tournament: March 18th, 2011
Post by: Sam on March 16, 2011, 06:17:05 PM
It may be too late for a lot of people, but there's a sign-up sheet in Plainville for a small 40k event this Friday. There are ten slots available for anyone interested. Here's the details:

Format: 2000 point Singles Event
Date: Friday, March 18, 2011
Time: Players arrive by 1:00 PM. Set up at 1:30. Dice roll at 2:00 PM.
Entrance Fee: $10.00 per person.
Rules: Standard Force Organization chart. WYSIWYG will be in effect. The current 5th Edition Warhammer 40,000 rules will be used.

Store credit will be given to the best general. Painting will not be required or judged.

If you're interested, let me know here or call the Plainville store. Sorry about the lack of fanfare on this one; it's a bit less formal than the mass events we usually have. And Chase is on vacation, so we're operating without our "Get stuff done" guy. Thanks, folks.

I've been too sick to go out, definitely don't have the stamina for a single 2k 40k game, let alone the many games that would necessitate a 40k tournament.

Couple questions about some really important points. Mission types / deployment? How many rounds? Time limit on rounds? How are opponents determined?

this is all standard BG procedure, that is, adepticon missions (as of yet, unannounced which ones, I believe) and pairings done at random, and then ascending by points as is the BG norm.
