Post by: Grimwulfe on April 04, 2011, 03:02:25 PM
Would 19 shunting DreadKnights be legal?

Wouldnt that take a whole lot of Grand Masters?

Only if you wanted them to shunt in a scout move.

Taking the teleporters alone does not require an GM.

So far as I know, yes.  No force org in Apocalypse.  You can go crazy with one sort of model.

I see this sort of army as high risk high reward.  Any time you spend all your points on one type of exotic model, there is a risk that the result will be a mismatch.  If the people opposite you on the table are low on heavy weapons, you might rumble all over them.  If your opponent has a healthy fear of titans and geared up to fight them, you might end up in trouble.

As such, such an army would make conservative ole me a bit dubious, but if you assemble and paint them with tender loving care, I'd be for it.  Extreme armies might tend to play a little havoc with game balance, but they look cool on the table.

Yes, so long as they're painted.

Why do I feel like Troy's question will be followed by "can they be made out of cups?"  :D

A bit ago, visiting Abington, Cookie showed off a Chaos variation on the theme of very large walker or very small titan.  Twas made of Defiler parts, well put together, well detailed, and with a good paint job would be quite worthy to stand opposite DreadKnights.

And in this corner, in crimson and brass, for the middleweight championship...

If things go according to Cookie's schedule, there might be five of them this year.  Next year, we might see nine of them adding up to near 4000 points.

Interesting concept, the minititan.
