If you're interested in a GIANT Apocalypse game please check out our 4th Annual Megabattle (http://www.battlegroundgames.com/forum/index.php?topic=2366.0).  We had 40 players last year who put down 4000 points a piece.  This year we are gunning for 60 players at 4000 points a piece.  Reaching this target would make our event one of the largest Apocalypse games in the country.  We would like you to be a part of it!

I thought you would have noticed your partner playing "Imperial Guard". Those were the greenest, meanest IG I've ever seen.

I wouldn't hold your breath.  It's 100% dependent on what kind of free time Derek has.

A video? That's cool. Anyway, Thanks for the tournament! Me and my little brother, although finishing fairly low in the ranks, had a ton of fun :D. Definitely going to go next time.

I really wish i could :( However, I don't think i can buy 2000 points of tau before the event. If anyone is also tau who doesn't have enough points I'll gladly let them borrow mine so the megabattle can have more players :).

I could try to work out a list that uses those weird formations to add more points, but even then I don't think i'll have enough. I'll try though!

I'm pretty sure that you can play with your current army, and let an ally have your unused points -- your experience playing in the Megabattle may be affected though (as it's easier to destroy 2k points of tau than 4k)

We may need to wait and see if Eldar Bob thinks this is okay.

What do you mean, exactly?  If you would like to play you can definitely sign up and then "give" your extra points to someone else on your table.  We discourage this, but in the case of newer players (especially newer players from Plainville) the exception will be made.

Example:  If you only have 2000 points of painted models you can give the other 2000 to a teammate so long as that teammate is on the same table as you.

They all do, but you'll have to wait to see what table you end up on before you can figure out who / how you'll give them out / to.

Just an FYI on Octavians List and mine, we made a mistake and put psybolt ammo on the DK which he doesnt have the option for that so we played without using the 5 points.  So the GK list was only 1245.

I'm pretty sure that you can play with your current army, and let an ally have your unused points -- your experience playing in the Megabattle may be affected though (as it's easier to destroy 2k points of tau than 4k)

We may need to wait and see if Eldar Bob thinks this is okay.

Back in my day there was no sharing of points at the battles of mega-sizing.  It was just like a good match of checkers minus the checker pieces, on a larger board with terrain.  Sometimes I used to have points left over to give to other people but I just chuckled.  You see, chuckling is when you almost laugh but refrain yourself back enough so that its sort of like a more humorous grunt.  I never quite chuckled at people giving me points though and that was in part to the way things were at the time I mention in this momentous moment in the continuum of time itself.

And tha is why I say no sharing of the points.
