Come down and check out the sweet new models.
-
I came by 15 minutes after you posted this but you were closed. :(
The heldrake is a lot cooler in person as is the fiend kit. I may have to run back to bg and get a warpsmith, a dark apostle and warptalons. The dark gods be praised, this release is a good one.
-
How's it looking will any still be left by Thursday Chase?
-
The heldrake is cool but the price tag isnt. The Blood Angel/ Grey Knight Storm Raven comes with more plastic and a bigger package and costs a lot less.

I hope there's NOTHING left by Thursday morning. I also hope a shipment shows up Thursday afternoon with my restocks.
Yeah, there will be stuff on Thursday for sure. I'm fairly certain I ordered too much stuff considering a bunch of the guys are at Battle for Salvation this weekend.
-
That would mean plenty of new stuff available for sale for the BG tournament on the 13th. :)

No, the heldrake is cheaper. (I know right?)
-
Rhinos come with more plastic.
-

A comparison shot. Helbrute (from DV), A land raider and the drake.
-
When I cracked my helldrake I got told that a Rhino comes with more plastic and theres more to it. I only want 1 hell drake and I got what i wanted. Reading the RAW of the chaos book can a Deamon Prince ride a deamonic steed?
-
Nope.
-
Looked at the Codex from a Friend and they kinda look blah to me. Maybe I will be tempted after seeing them in action but as of right now It looks like all I would want to do is go Slaanesh and put Lucius and Noise Marines on the table.
-
I am interested in people's thoughts on the book.
-
I think its good they just stripped it clean of Icons of any kind which is a little lame.

Steve, there are more pages past 63.
-
Well Chase, this book is going to get me back into 40k for 6th edition. ;)
The costs of champions went down considerably, which if you always fielded them in a squad, makes the new squads seem cheaper. The almost universal access to marks makes fielding a mono god list less punishing and more acceptable. Using the icon system for buffs instead of just marks removes the annoyance most people had in the 4th edition codex.
Except for a couple odd FAQ issues, like the zombies and their options, I think the book will prove to be a nice change to the 4th edition chaos codex.
-
I have a weird feeling that I am going to drop $300+ very soon...
On that note I am loving the new dex alot of cool options and crazy things...
-
I think this book is totally amazing and spectacular. 10/10. Lots of exciting things to try. I think we might have another Dark Eldar on our hands, in terms of nearly every unit being interesting and viable, but nothing being OP. Too early to really know of course.

Pretty much this

I'm surprised by those opinions. Initial things I heard were... Less than desirable.
The Codex sold very well this weekend. The models... Not so much. I suppose that's to be expected when no one knows ANY of the rules before the day the stuff goes on sale, which really sucks.

The more misconceptions about something the louder people are. It's only natural to hear the louder people first. ;)
-
The more I read into it the cooler some stuff seems. I can't see myself playing anything non-fluff though take Kharn go Khorne take Typhus go Nurgle. Maybe pushing into the new year I might start chaos up But who knows.
-
The hell drake just seems pricey for the amount of materials they used to make it.
-
price is part how its made and part in game use.
-
37.5 for ten space marines and 33 for 5 grey knights. yeah part of in game cost is a factor.
-
Anyone know if they have a Street Date for Chaos Cultist models outside of Dark Vengeance?
-
They do not.
-
im happy with the DV cultists as they represent the only ways you can equip them unless you make them into plauge Zombies due to Typhus and then your going to be getting Fantasy zombies and kit bashing them.
-
I saw the Helldrake in person tonight. It looks amazing.
-
Chaos keeps Tempting me especially since Chaos Bikes are so much Better than Marine bikes :(.

You mean your "pre-Heresy" Chaos bikers? ;)
-
The codex looks great, full color pages are always welcome.
It's great that they've added models and flavor to the Chaos force making them more than simply Space Marines with spikes.
-
I flipped through the new Chaos book and they would make cool allies for Orks....just don't want to buy anything new with DA right around the corner and I assume that I will have to drop a bit of money on the new codex and models to upgrade my Ravenwing...
-
Paged through the book tonight and this CSM codex is so much better than the previous one! Charts, random things, new units that don't immediately suck, old units that don't immediately suck. It makes me want to read more of it.
I only regret that it is a hardcover book...
