So I love 40K. If you're here, on this site, you do too.
I love the models. I love the fluff. I love everything about them, from the excessively horrible Grimdarkery, to the stupid obsession with VALOUROUS HEROISM, to the fact that men in giant suits of space armour use this power to fight with swords as though this would in any way be a valid tactic in any war with fully automatic weaponry... almost everything about 40K fills me with happiness.
I hate Games Workshop and always have.
I am not alone in this. I know, because I've had a conversation with other fans of 40K, been on the internets and read what they had to say and seriously: we seem to REALLY ****ing hate GW. Like, the fans of Half-Life LOVE Valve. They love them more than anything. They want them to prosper and succeed. I don't know anyone who wishes a stronger emotion on GW than utter indifference.
I will point out fans of warmahordes also love PP.

I know a lot of people hate GW. So what? Doesn't change anything. I just feel like this is just more of the same conversation we've been going round and round with for the last few months.
Group 1: "I hate GW"
Group 2: "We know"
Group 1: "I still hate GW"
Group 2: "Yea..we get it"

Still, buying GW models from you FLGS is still supporting GW. If you hate something...stop supporting it.

But seriously, most everyone that talks about politics do the same thing. People love holding contradicting thoughts.
There are a lot of reasons to hate GW and I agree with most of them. I decided to take a hiatus from GW until they became tolerable again. I know it happens in waves but it seems the wave of anger is stronger this time around. One day I hope to field my massive chaos army again but I cannot separate my anger at their decisions from the game.

GW has great models, fluff, and rules. Balance may be a little off, but that never stopped me from having fun.
People who hate the company but buy the models probably just have a secret closet crush on GW. Secret worship of something so beautiful, yet angry and frustrated because it's out of your league lol

Ok, look, kids, do you really want to argue politics on a 40k forum? Because I would really love to hear how pointing out that "some people are attractive, but with bad personalities" is in any way sexist.
I'm also a Libertarian, and I think Obama is just awful, like worst president since Carter. Worse actually, he's like Nixon and Carter combined. I suppose that makes me racist. Let's talk about that for a bit.
