So I'm hearing all sorts of awesome things about the the YT-2400 and Decimator since they've gone on sale. People are super into both of them and very excited to use them, which is so awesome to see and hear. X-Wing continues to be super hot and it's getting played a lot in the store lately... and not just on Thursday!
With that said, I haven't heard very much about the new Scum and Villainy stuff that's supposed to be right around the corner. Brian put up a great post / review of the StarViper, which seems to be totally bad ass, but other than that I haven't heard anything.
So what are we thinking? What looks awesome? Are people planning to buy into Scum and Villainy? Is anything "basically required?"
(aka, I'm upping my preorders / backorders on all X-Wing stuff AGAIN, and I'd love some help on the studs and duds)

I think this is a great point for newer people starting out. If you started playing today, you need so much to have all the options. If you started in the beginning, you simply got sucked into every wave that came out. This 3rd opition is starting fresh, therefore a good place to start. I guess you still need the starter though...

I am all in for Scum and Villainy. I already want two Star Vipers and two copies of the Most Wanted kit just to get started.
Starvipers - We already saw how great these ships are.
Most Wanted - The Most Wanted Kits are going to be HOT. It gives you new dials and pilots for ships you already own OR that you are looking to own as you hop into X-Wing with the new faction.
The Most Wanted ships are:
- Firesprays (Slave I) are already popular, and they will be even more popular with this release. New awesome pilots and the dials that you need for them are included in Most wanted, but you still need to buy the ship separately.
- HWK-290 - This ship gets an overhaul in Most Wanted, becoming an Anti-Support ship. Very interesting, and I feel like there are going to be multiple lists that are based around a few of the new pilots. The Most Wanted pack comes with new dials and pilots, but you will need the ship separately.
- Y-Wing - The Y-Wing gets an overhaul as well in Most Wanted. They have completely changed this ship, and gave it all new options. That being said, there are several cards that come in the original Y-Wing that can be used here as well. Most Wanted comes with one repainted Y-Wing, but two dials, so you can use an old Y-Wing or purchase a new one to beef up your squadron.
- Z-95 Headhunter - The Z doesn't so much get an overhaul, as it just gets new dials and becomes Scum ready with most wanted. The pack comes with two dials, new pilots and two repainted ships
To get the most of of Most Wanted you are going to need to get a Firespray and a HWK-290. My expectation is that if folks do not have a Y-Wing, they will pick another up to use the extra dial.
There are two other ships that still haven't been fully spoiled either. IG-2000 is going to be another big based ship, and the M3-A Interceptor will be a small based ship that can fit multiple roles. We won't really know the full deal on these guys until they get fully spoiled, but I expect IG-2000 to be popular, as the character is pretty well known.

I've been convinced to get scum, even if not immediately.
I'll probably be picking up a Most wanted and a Starviper, though I'm not sure how soon. I still don't own a Falcon, E-wing, or any Headhunters yet. or wave 5 for that matter. Looks like i've been neglecting my Rebels. (not sure i'm going to ever buy a falcon since the outrider is out.)
