Got a question for all the Tau generals out there.
I'm starting to shift my Tau army from a positional relay army to a gun-line army. In the relay army I generally run my commander with relay/MissilePods/FusionBlaster and other wargear. Mainly to give long range support with the MP and the FB incase something drops in before I bring in the things i need.
I've been looking at some other Tau forum's and looks like most people take MP/Plasmarifle on there HQ for the extra shot at 24'. My gunline army is probably going to have 4x Broadsides and at least one other fusion blaster stationary. On instinct I'm thinking of sticking with the FB, but wanted to know if any other Tau people found the plasma rifle better?
What load out do other Tau commanders take?

I personally fight space marines a lot and so my crisis suits have:
plasma rifles, shield generators and targeting arrays and my HQ has the Airbust gun for the large blast

if i remember correctly, i used to take missile pod, plasma rifle, target lock, 2 shield drones, stim injectors. my other configuration replaced the weapons with twin plasma and a fusion blaster. that was kind of an up-close configuation though.

I think I'm gonna try the plasma this weekend.
Opforce3: Did you use your MP/PR config as a gunline commander?
I'm thinking of fielding 2xCrisis Teams for the first time this weekend,
My Standard;
Team Leader -2xFB, TL, and 2xShield Drones
Suit- PR/MP/MT
Suit- 2xMP/flamer
New team;
Team Leader -2xMP/FB/TL
Suit- 2xMP/2xGun Drones
Suit- 2xMP/flamer
I use my Standard team as a Deepstriking unit. The new team was thinking of sitting in gunline using them as light tank killers.

I can safely say that yes he did use it as a gun line commander since i was on the receiving end on occasion
