New boards to clean-up the old ones.
From what ive read, DWP is mostly what you can assume will be fought in the underdark, with heavy emphasis on drow, driders, and the like. Although, it is considered a challenging module, it is not close to tomb of horrors, all of us should live bar the dwarf ;)
Looks to be a really great set of adventures and games to be looking forward to! I know i cant wait, so lets build up the rosters!!! (keep in mind the names are in no particular order and classes are based off what i remember before leaving last night) ;D

New thread! I'll eventually post some junk up about the Darksun game, but that's WAAAY out there. Let's keep our energy focused on Jay's game for now, because Jay is my hero. (I know Dave is obsessive enough to be enthusiastic about both games, but whatever...)
This works out pretty well because I have time to get my Darksun junk together and I like playing too. Should be fun.
I'm thinking about playing something from Libris Mortis, simply because I bought the book but I've never had a chance to use it. It will be a druid or a cleric though.

obsessive?! Just because i know what every power, feat, and class feature is by memory from my dnd books i own and have a character sheet at 10th level for every class for the darksun game ready to play already doesnt make me obsessive! ::)

Jay will be unavailable next Friday for the Game, so there will not be a DemonWeb Pits Game run.

also, the 3.5 game was pretty good. i poked alot of magic items, rammed myself into trees with magic breastplates, and most important of all... (drum roll)...

...why... were the trees wearing magic breastplates? That just seems odd. Plus, combining the 'ramming' of trees with the 'poking' of magic items... are you sure this was a 3.5 game and not that FATAL engine?
Anyhoo, I need at least 3 confirmed players for Paranoia, otherwise the entire exercise will make me sad. Anyone else who is interested, please let me know in this thread.

Well, since only 1 person has expressed interest, I'm afraid I'll have to pass on tonight.
Sorry Dave, but experience has taught me that if a game is cancelled so far ahead of time, nobody will show unless they post that they will. Since they haven't, well...

Free tip. First impressions matter, even on the internet. (Maybe especially on the internet). Reading a post like that from someone I've never met makes my eyes hurt and creates a negative image of the person who 'talks' that way.

We had a pretty good opening session, Rickus. Some light combat, kinda set the scene. You didn't miss anything earth shattering.
Hopefully all will be well for this Friday. I'll be sure to check the boards more often, I woulda given a yes for that paranoia game if I'd bothered to read.

Unfortunately, I have to go to San Diego early tomorrow morning for a work conference so I don't think I can make it tonight. Originally I got the dates mixed up and thought I'd be out of town NEXT weekend.
I'm so disappointed. See you guys in two weeks, I suppose.

Alright, once more totally off topic and I know I've probably mentioned this to some of you before... but the first Deus Ex was one of the greatest games of all time. OF ALL TIME!
Anyhoo there was a giant sale on Steam and I bought 8 copies for 12 bucks. I figured I'd let you guys have first crack at it. Get yourself a steam id and let me know and I'll gift you a copy. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. (Note that the graphics have not aged well and the gameplay takes some getting used to. Also note that steam ids are not unique, so the more unusual your name is the less chance there is of me sending it to the wrong person).
It's Christmas come early, so get them while they last. And let anyone else you know who might be interested know about it too.

In the 'light combat' that I missed, did we... win?
Because from where I'm sitting we had two encounters and more or less lost both of them. That doesn't bode well for the future.

Well as a group no we did not win, but i never got caught so technicaly i tied those archons ;D
and its a book mod, theres going to be encounters that you cant win so it can force you to the plot.
The rats where made to make sure you dont trust rule of three and the lady pain, so you keep your mind open to what ever schemes there planning
The archons where to take you back to the tower and for more information to be given to the party, or another option besides working with RUle of Three.
NOW, a question to steve. If you animate undead to a creature that could fly, is the new zombie able to fly as well?

Calling for snow again tomorrow. Apparently it will be frontloaded in the morning and clear by tomorrow evening, but if the weather's bad you won't see me at Battlegrounds. :(

Hey guys fyi Steve said he would be late or not be able to show tonight. AJ said he cannot make it. Dave said he would be down though, and i reminded him yesterday. Worst case scenario we still run with 4 characters since we have been doing that few weeks anyway.

I hope so. Last time, nobody told me that a 32-bit version of Windows could only handle up to 4 gigs of RAM. I spent Friday night and most of Saturday reinstalling all my programs.

One week from now (the 14th), what's the plan?
Josh mentioned to me an obscure game called Toon where you play as a Looney Tunes type of character.
