I would much rather play against the beastmen. Which means if you want to go for the kill, that demon list is pretty brutal and will not give up many points unless you want to lol.
-
yeah i took the daemons out for a spin today and trashed some dark elves. that GUO is a rapist. i might drop the stubborn banner though, i feel i really need some more chaff to really use it to its full potential. it is nice being able to send big papa into a fight and not have to worry about static res though.
-
I would hate fighting that demon list. So play that one. I like the stubborn banner, but the leadership one is more dirty.
-
that is true, the LD banner will synergize better with 2 bloodletter units as well. they don't lose combat often so won't take advantage of stubborn very much, but that -2 to LD will help with breaking steadfast (among other things, that banner has so many uses, its horrific).
and don't ask me why the LD icon is 50 pts cheaper too, i guess i'll buy another chaff unit with the savings.
although i am thinking of running shadow on the herald because its a great combo with the big guy (steed of shadows on the GUO is obscene) and withering combos with his toughness spells nicely. if i do that, i'm considering the standard of sundering to protect me from nasty lizards and high elves, though i don't know what kind of showing they'll make.

I think light is by far the best for you. Great mm's especially for vamps. Also speed of light for double movement is amazing. Not to mention ASF bloodleters with an extra attack! Oh and net is so dirty against high elves. Just make them take a strength test to cast.
I would go with the LD banner, it will be useful for more situations then the other ones.

ok so with the despair icon, it will look like this:
Daemons of Chaos
Great Unclean One
Pestilent Mucus (T tests in b2b when he suffers wounds), stream of bile (S4 breath weapon)
level 4
Herald of Khorne
Armor, Firestorm Blade
Herald of Khorne BSB
Icon of Despair
Herald of Tzeentch
Spell Breaker, Master of Sorcery (light)
28 Bloodletters
FC, +D6" charge icon
28 Bloodletters
Standard, Muso
5 Furies
3 Nurglings
4 Nurglings
2 solo Fiends
6 Flamers
i'll be playing 2 test games with it tomorrow at the whiz. i'm not sure against what yet, but ogres, high elves, and warriors are all likely.

Looks like the kind of list you take to win a GT. I say do it, just remember we are going to give you a lot of shit of you don't at least get top three.
-
lookd pretty dang solid madman. .. double bloodletter units is pretty beast.. 28 is the etc list max right?
-
Yeah 28 max, but that's fine. They're still insanely nasty at that size but definitely manageable.
