When the Imdaar Alpha tournament is held, what will be the round timing cut-off rules. I think it'll be sixty minutes, like in the championship.
What is the 'normal' rules for game end? I know in the championship, they cut it off at exactly 60 min., no matter if you were in the middle of the combat phase. It just seemed a little weird to not let the players finish the combat phase, giving a leg up to high-PS squads. (I was all 1's and 2's)
Just wondering how that'll be handled this time around.

The event post for the event will be going up soon (end of the day on Wednesday at the latest).
We will be using the standard tournament rules that FFG puts out. They can be found here. (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/x-wing/support/faq/X-Wing-Tournament-Rules.pdf)
60 minute rounds.
At the end of the current round, the match time limit has been reached
(if time is called mid-round, players must finish the round). Each player
calculates his score by adding together the total squad point value of his
opponent’s destroyed ships, including Upgrade cards equipped to those
ships. The player with the greater score receives a Modified Match Win,
and his opponent receives a Match Loss. If the winning player’s score is
at least 12 points more than his opponent’s score, he receives a Match
Win. If both players have the same score, the game ends in a Draw.

Oh good, we can finish the round this time. Yay. 8)

Yeah, I'm not sure what was going on last time. Maybe the rules document changed or something.

Is the Fantasy Flight Official Dice App allowed?

Let's go with "no."
