Title: Sulphis, A new D&D Setting and Campaign 1-20. (Plainville) (SUN 3-7)
Post by: spoonsaur on December 07, 2014, 09:06:23 PM
I'm looking for players for a massive setting I have built called Sulphis.

How massive are we talking? Well I have about 197 articles so far on Google drive.

I'm looking to run Sundays but I am open to other nights as well incase this is a bad fit.

I'd be so down for trying this out, but I've a restrictive schedule with my job, i work third shift starting at 7pm. Mon - FRI, so I'm really only free mornings or weekend. If by some Long shot, that's convenient for you/other people I'm game.

No offense, but you pretty much lifted this map from the Shadowlands Pathfinder setting.

Yellow card.

I am definitely interested. I THINK I can do Sunday's, as long as the wife is not completely against it. A night during the week would be even better; I can be at Battleground by 6pm any weekday evening.

Do you have any idea when this campaign might get started? I certainly don't mean to rush you but I am way stoked to play more D&D. 2 hours on Wednesdays just isn't enough!

Also, in looking over the information you provided, I noticed that there were muskets involved. Are they something that characters can also use? Firearms in D&D is a new idea for me.

well it could just be an arbitrary term to help compare diverse army types on a simple scale of none-lots

but there is a section in the dungeon masters guide that gives stat blocks for fire arms, i could see this being a possibility

I'm hoping for the latter

So we will be playing starting SUN 1/4/15.

I will be using the firearms from the Dmg but user beware they are quite expensive.

expensive is good! just means more of a demand on the black market....

Jan 4th works for me, shall we create characters together that day? should be a simple affair if we're starting level 1

This sounds like a blast but I can't commit to Sunday afternoons. With the wife working very Saturday, Sunday is our day to get things done. I will have to bow out but I hope you guys have fun!

any special race-relations, religions, pantheons, etc.? or does your world assume/follow a standard high fantasy world as outlined in the manuals?

Ok I'll try to cover all of your questions so bear with me as there is alot.

Humans- are pretty well respected everywhere except the wilds of Kharbarak and sometimes Minas Aebor as the elves do not trust humanity.

Wild Elves- Are respected but not treated as equals by the High Elves.

High Elves- Hated by the drow as the high elves are the ones who banished them. Humans look at elves as aliens amongst them (with wonder not fear).

Dwarves- Do not trust Elves and really I mean really hate tieflings. They are suspicious of Dragonborn.

Dragonborn- both revered and feared at the same time. Called the children of Kroven

Halflings- often underestimated but almost never hated.

Gnomes- well respected but sometimes seen as a nuisance.

Half Elf- pulled in both directions but not accepted fully in either.

Half orc- Highly discriminated against.

Tiefling- people are often wary or afraid

As for pantheons, depending where you are different pantheons are worshiped.

Ukad, Orlon, Imraland, and Ashtenfel worship gods of the Forgotten Realms

Minas Aebor worships the Elven Pantheon

Baraghul worships the Dwarven Pantheon

Heygrove and Dorwine worship Greyhawk Deities

Nagano and Gehtton worship the Asian Pantheon

Saqqad worships the Egyptian Pantheon
