Rules Question

The Other Trickster's Shard: models in base contact with the bearer (friends and foes) must re-roll successful ward saves. -Fantasy rulebook pg 177


If my lord has this item, does my lord have to re-roll his own ward saves too?

i would say no, as a model can't be in base contact with himself. a model with an item that does a S3 hit to all models in base contact does not take the hit himself for example.

Yea, if a character is carrying an item he is not in btb with himself.  It would just matter if he was in combat or inside of a friendly unit.
