Painting Workshop coming to BG Plainville

(1/4) > >>

Erich:
Battleground Plainville will be hosting a once a month painting workshop starting on the evening of February 20th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm

If you have questions about techniques or tricks, need some inspiration or organizational advice on getting an army finished in a timely manner, want to learn how to use an airbrush or anything else then stop by to paint or chat about painting and the hobby in general.

The workshops will cover a bit of everything though here and there may focus on one or two topics and evening depending on community interest.

Topics could include:
Highlighting & Shading
Painting flesh
Wet blendings
Basing your models
Painting eyes
Drybrushing
Making and using a wet palette
Priming
Model assembly
Project planning
Painting difficult colors
Painting gems
Weathering models
Applying decals and waterslides
Using an airbrush
Care for brushes

Hope to see you there!

Quick note. Models, brushes, and paints will not be supplied for these workshops. If you're coming to paint bring you current project, ask questions and so on. The intent is to provide demos of techniques that people are looking to learn.

For airbursh sessions I will bring my airbrush and compressor for people to get some hands on with the tools.

JakeM:
Please let me know when you will be focusing on airbrush. I've always wanted to learn how to use them, but I have no experience with them. Looking at your blog it seems like you know how to use it well.

misterheffe:
Doh!!! I'm going to be out of town that day - hope a second session can be organized!

very anxiously looking forward to this. I'd love some advise on feathering or other blending techniques.

I will bring the airbrush for the first session...could be a bit loud as the compressor charges up but we'll figure it out.
