I have 2 other players, one is brand new like myself, the other has played D&D a few times. We are looking to start or join a D&D group that plays Fri/Sat nights, weekly. Other nights could still work but those times are best for us. We're very eager to jump in and start playing! Send an email to mapagano@gmail.com or respond here

Edit: I should add that 2 of us are from Worcester, and the other from Burlington, MA.

I'm very excited about the new book. I enjoy normal AoS rules as well as some of the comps out there (pools my favorite). I think it will be great to have an official comp system, tournaments will become more common with it.

I'm hoping more people in our local community start trying out AoS, maybe this new book will help out if people are looking for official balancing and competitive play.

For those that are interested, looks like GW took the hint and is putting out the full game with army lists and points costs. Seems promising

Warhammer Fantasy / Ice Wizard duel report
« Last post by naptragichen on April 26, 2016, 10:59:40 PM »
The forces of Dark Elves and the United Forces of Stormcasts and the Free People faced off on the Icy, wind-blasted wastelands. The feud was fueled rival Ice Wizards. The snow storm created by the two raged across the battle. The two forces quickly clashed in the middle under heavy fire from both sides. The dark elves quickly pushed their spearmen right up the middle into the swordsmen. Winning initially before reinforcements quickly crushed them to the man. This gave the Stormcast's wizard the edge to push the storm into the Elf territory. The elves made rebuttal by cutting down the stormcast general and using the their hydra and cold one calavry to wear down the flank. On the other flank saw the Judicators and Tank take on the Black guard, crossbowmwn, and assassin. The fight wore on the take but couldn't break it. Blinded by the storm, the Vexillor, right before being cut down, sent the Retributors to their instead of to destroy the Elf-side ice wizard. But with the aid of the Retributors, the flank was quickly theirs as the Black Guard and Assassin fell leaving only a handful of crossbowmen and the Elven General. The Stormcast-side ice wizard retreated after suffering grievous wounds from a reapeater bolt thrower. The Elf-side Ice wizard was a coward and refused to come to the aid of the Elf General leaving her out to hang. The storm's power became to great forcing both sides to retreat and lick their wounds ending a stalemate.
Thanks Parker for a great game with an awesome scenario.
