problem with week 2 was it was valentines day, bad time to get a dnd showing. im going to try and make it this week if not for work.

just a to clarify you are only allowing equipment out of the two books right?

I know from playing with the character builder that it does not allow you to filter some of the magic equipment, results could confuse anyone using that to build a character for this event.  


Are all of these events point buy? Or can/do players have to roll up the stats prior to the event starting??

For this event everything on the character sheet must be from either PHB1 or PHB2, including magic items.  It is a pain in the character builder and it's not always 100% clear what book each item is in, sometimes you have to look closely.

You can point buy if you'd like, you can also just choose one of the arrays (which works out the same as point buy I think).  Players will not be rolling stats.

Just bringing up the equipment thing because it wasn't stated and I was not sure that player weren't using the Character creator.  Trying to point out the problems before they happen, sorry if it makes pot holes for you and Derek.
