PAXCON East
« on: February 19, 2010, 10:11:39 AM »
PAXCON East is in Boston, MA this year, on March 28.  (One week after the Megabattle)

If anyone is interested in going, please let me know!  I'd love to have another excuse (I mean, reason  :P) to come back to MA for another weekend in the same month.

Let me know!

Not to my knowledge, Jeff.  If you're familiar with Penny Arcade, or E3, then it's a lot more like those kind of conventions.  Like E3, they're primarily about video games, but they do promote and advertise a lot of other forms of tabletop gaming (ie - Card Games, D&D).

The last time I went, I didn't see any GW tournaments, but I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun regardless.

Actually there are GW things going on.  PAX isnt wholly video games.   Boargames, CCG, RP, Minis, Video Games, and the whole 'Nerd' culture is being celebrated.  Check out the Schedule of events through the penny-arcade site for more info on what and when.  Its looking like its gonna be a good time.  http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/PAX_East_Gaming_Schedule.pdf  Tourney list on that link.

i think i'm going to try and swing by saturday.
Children yet, the tale to hear, Eager eye and willing ear, Lovingly shall nestle near.  In a Wonderland they lie, Dreaming as the days go by, Dreaming as the summers die: Ever drifting down the stream --Lingering in the golden gleam --Life, what is it but a dream?
