it obviously varies between players but with the advent of 8th edition, i've noticed army sizes as a whole have gotten bigger. 2.5-3k are what i usually see with the occasional 2k.

I heard a rumor that says the 2400 is the new 2250 in this edition.  Due to the easy break down in percentages.

But, its true number have on average risen.  That may be just a result of the older edition crowd refusing to give up on the large point cost heroes.

i prefer to think of it in terms of stupid huge units of troops finally being useful AND looking cool  ;)
