So I heard this was kicking off in november but that it was decided to wait for the release of the hordes of chaos book.


Since that is out is there a set date that this is planning to be started or are we still waiting??

Sorry it took me a millionyears to get back to you guys on this but the deal is currently....

...when the tiles are finished and the map is ready we will start the league.

its probably about 40% complete right now, if I had to guess.  Infact, I think I'm going to work on it later tonight.

I just put the foundation paint on a bunch of the tiles.

Chase,

You think you can give us a little more insight into what we should be expecting for this league.  Just so we can kind of plan ahead for any possible alterations in our armies.  I.e. Picking up some units that may fit better in this style of play format.

Like can we use special characters? I know the rules now include them as normal choices with no restrictions.  But I'm not sure if Empires has a special rules for their use.  Also, is there going to be a banner system depicting a specific army in an area.  Or is it just you can field an army based on available points in any area??

At this exact moment in time I have no answers.  I've talked with Derek about it a couple of times and he wants to hold off until the map is all set to go before we talk about any real details.

If I had to guess... I would say that the league will closely resemble the rules as written in the new version of the Mighty Empires box.  Whatever rules are on those 4 pages I'd imagine will be included.
