Battleground may be the only place where the circle players don't bitch they can't win, I love it!

The more I think about circle, and the more I drink, the more I'd like a team or doubles event here soon... Then again thinking isn't my strong point.

Team events in WM/H are not at all appealing.

EDIT BEFORE A FIGHT: FOR ME. THEY ARE NOT APPEALING FOR ME. YOU GUYS DO WHATEVER.

I don't really understand why so many circle players complain that the faction isn't strong enough.  There are certain matchup issues, but that is true of most factions, so I don't get it.

@ Ian.  Do you mean multiple players on the same board at the same time, or people playing individual games and combining W/L records?  Or both?

At templecon last year there was a three player team event, where each player was numbered, and your 1 would play their 1.  And it was all win/loss.   The team with more wins, won the round.  Seemed to go over really well.

Not a huge fan of either. I'm a big fan of competing on my own in this game. Additionally, there are a ton of cool variants that could be run 1v1.

I'm on the fence when it comes to two-on-two or anything like that. Warmachine/Hordes has a nice tempo to it even if the points go up. On the other hand, the more players you add really bogs it down. While that's probably a factor in every game system, I think you feel it more in Warmachine as its a little less "beer and pretzels."

I do like the idea of being on a team though, and playing individual matchups against members of other teams. I regret not taking part in that Templecon tournament.

Omg I'm not a fucking pirate you Nesbit!

I like the new warm and fuzzy Keith!

I had a circle player tell me the feral is too weak, because you know p+s 21 is so bad... And mat 9 never hits anything... Wah, it has arm 16, who cares?! Armor don't matter when it just wrecked two heavies in one turn! Omg eff the Internet!

At least the crux forums people will tell the stupid ones they have no idea what they're talking about.  Circle, they win the hardcore and instead of celebrating or gloating they have to analyze how it was possible!???!  It was kromac, he does that, just watch him!

Also, it's just a thought, a team event might be pretty cool, doubles was more of an after thought... And a terrible one, there would be so much ridiculousness going on every round would leave my head spinning.  But something like the triples team event keith posted may be cool.

Speaking of the hardcore, chase are you the one judging who is passable or not?  It kinda matters to the shitty unskilled painters (me).  I guess what I'm asking is, if someone unskilled paints to the best ability they can and bases it, is that acceptable or does every model have to be a work of art?

I just want to make more trees for the world!

Thread posted on the PP boards.  Bump it there if you'd like.

Goss, I would just make sure, people can tell the effort is there. not the execution.   Make sure that a piece that is leather doesn't look like skin,  or metal doesn't look like wood.  Etc.  It doesn't have to look as nice as Jon or Ian's stuff to be playable.

Also people lament Hordes heavies, because in a vacuum, they are not as powerful.  In order to get numbers you are talking about, you need spells from one caster, and an animus from another beast.

In general Jacks are better in a vacuum, because Beasts are more buffable and can be forced more.

I think team stuff is suitable in something that is a once a year, huge event.   We are just now starting to change it up for 1v1.   We should do a 50 point event at some point as well.

Don't really know who I am running for Highlander....

+1 for a 50pt tournament before the year is out.

A tourney larger than 35pts needs to happen before the year is out IMHO. On the other hand, Unbound is asking a lot from people.

For as much as I'd like to shoot people in the face with Kara Sloan under the combined effects of Fire Group, Snipe, Firing Squad, Reload (thanks, Reinholdt) and Temporal Acceleration I just can't get behind that idea.

If the BG guys wanted to throw together a Warmachine mega battle that would probably be more inciting for a lot of people.
