[Abington MA] Return to Ravnica Prerelease Weekend - 9/29 and 9/30

Come to our Return to Ravnica Prerelease and experience the newest Magic: the Gathering set a week before it goes on sale!

The Return to Ravnica Prerelease presents players with a special opportunity to open a Guild Prerelease Pack and join their favorite guild from the Return to Ravnica expansion. There are five Guild Prerelease Packs to choose from: Azorius, Izzet, Rakdos, Golgari, and Selesnya.

If players would like to be guaranteed a specific Guild Prerelease Pack they MUST preregister for the event they would like to participate in.  Please talk to someone at the store or email me at ChaseLaq@gmail.com to preregister.

Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person
This event will run 4 rounds.


Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: Septemeber 29th Saturday afternoon
Time: 1:00pm
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person
This event will run 4 rounds.


Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: September 29th Saturday night
Time: 7:00pm
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person
This event will run 4 rounds.


Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: Septemeber 30th Sunday afternoon
Time: 1:00pm
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person
This event will run 4 rounds.


Format: Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck**
Date: September 30th Sunday night
Time: 7:00pm
Entrance Fee: $20.00 per person



*Sealed Deck: Each player receives a Guild Prerelease Pack designed specifically for the chosen guild.  Each Guild Prerelease Pack consists of FIVE Return to Ravnica packs and ONE Guild Booster Pack to use for building a deck.  Battleground will supply basic lands.

**Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck: Each TEAM will receive TWO Guild Prerelease Packs of with which to build TWO different 40 card decks.  Battleground will supply basic lands.


Simply put, we will run:

Return to Ravnica Sealed Deck - After FNM at midnight (12:01am) on Saturday morning
Return to Ravnica Sealed Deck - 1:00pm on Saturday
Return to Ravnica Sealed Deck - 7:00pm on Saturday
Return to Ravnica Sealed Deck - 1:00pm on Sunday
Return to Ravnica Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck - 7:00pm on Sunday

What Do I Get?

Prizes are based on attendance. There will be 2 booster packs per player put into the prize pool. Prizes packs are typically awarded to the top 30% of finishers.


In the Sealed Deck tournaments each player will receive a Guild Prerelease Pack designed specifically for the chosen guild.  These packs contains:

- 5 Return to Ravnica booster packs
- 1 Guild Booster Pack
- 1 Promo Card **Which you CAN use in your Sealed deck**
- 1 Achievement Card
- 1 Spindown™ Life Counter
- 1 Letter from the Guildmaster
- 1 Guild Symbol Sticker



In the Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck tournament each team receives TWO Guild Prerelease Packs.



What Else Can I Do?

Open Dueling: Open Dueling players each receive 1 Return to Ravnica Intro Pack. Open Dueling players use their Intro Pack to play against each other, as well as Prerelease tournament players who are between matches. All players should be encouraged to help teach Open Dueling participants how to play Magic.


Commander Melees:

Use your Commander decks with your friends!


Come down, play some cards, check out the new set, and meet some new people!
