Wraith Knight $115 ouch!

So if you play Iyanden you need to spend close to $100 for codex's?

Yeah, please explain.

Do you mean for the new codex + IA or something?  Wouldn't that be the case for any FW army?

Iyanden is a specific Eldar Craftworld in the same comparison that Space Wolves are a specific marine Chapter. They specialize in Wraith contructs like Wraithguard, Wraithknight, and Wraithlords.. I anticipate they will be extremely popular to hardcore eldar players, they have always been the most expensive Eldar models but they are also tough as nails.. tougher then plague marines  ;)

Keep in mind a pure Iyanden force is a very low model count army, so they might actually cost (point for point) the same as a bigger, more traditional Eldar army.

Chase what did you mean by your question about ForgeWorld?  This is spreadsheet represents what will be released under the main GW banner right (not ForgeWorld)?

From this list it looks like there will be a $50 Eldar codex from GW and then a separate $50 addon codex (also GW) if you want to run certain Iyanden craftworld units (maybe e.g. Wraithguard, Wraithlords, "Wraithknight" etc).

I think some people thought Iyanden was a Forgeworld supplement, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Also forgot to add that Iyanden wraith weapons are usually quite terrifying.. if I had BG stock I would probably pre-order some of those bad boys.

I meant that I didn't read this spreadsheet in it's entirety and didn't see the supplement (of which I'm sure I'll be limited to 1 or 2 of before they're sold out for months).

If you are thinking you'd like to pick up some Eldar stuff in release MONTH, please let me know ASAP.

This is all of the info I have to go on and I have to send my numbers in by Wednesday.  The product will be allocated, but if I can give accurate numbers (and not literal guesses) the rep can help me out quite a bit.

So, if the Iyanden book is essentially it's own codex, in that you don't need Eldar additionally....fine.  If you need both that and eldar, then...yeah, WTF, $100 in just books to play an army?

And yeah, $115 for one stinking model, the Wraith Knight?  Double WTF.  I thought $85 for the Riptide was nutty.

That's 3, count 'em, 3 WTFs.

I think there will be the annual June price hike across the board.. so I think thats already included in the Wraithknight cost.

Yeah, and they've been averaging about 12% increase every year...so about 6x inflation (at least).

That in no way diminishes the wtf level.

I bet the wraithknight will be really really awesome and will be bigger than the riptide (which is pretty friggin huge).
