Warp Distortions Detected...
« on: August 04, 2013, 06:53:14 PM »
With the starting of turn 5 on tuesday (and a record number of armies in the air), players should be ready to see the Warp Storm lift on turn 6. That means you have one week to get ready for the conflict in the Epsilon Majoris system to reach new heights. But as the warp storm rolls back, one location becomes accessible long before others.

Enif Station, the early warning system for Epsilon Nitoris is far enough out of the way where access to it is far easier to gain than the other planets located deeper in the storm. All of the competing empires scramble their fastest ships and most elite troops to storm the station, but who will claim it?

The Enif Station Scenario is happening this week, for those of you who can make it.
When: Saturday August 10, 8:00 Pm EST
Where: Battleground Games and Hobbies Abington
How much: Nothing, there's no money or point cost to enter as long as you're in the campaign already.
What do I need to bring?: 500 points of models that could be fielded in a wing from your chosen codex. 250 points of non-flyer models that can be used in a Zone Mortalis game (See Forgeworld for a free copy of Zone Mortalis).

To give everyone an idea of what to expect, Zone Mortalis is a game type played in narrow corridors and claustrophobic rooms. There are some major differences in this type of gameplay (notably Overwatch and Barrage weapons). However you can't field any model that could not fit into the hallways. The map we are using has, at narrowest 2 inch corridors so most monstrous creatures and vehicles will not fit. However in this gametype there is no forge organization chart and all models count as scoring. Make sure to bring a list of the wing and your invasion force!

The game is played in two stages, the first is a free for all Dogfight in the Asteroid Belt surrounding the Enif Station. Depending on player turnout you'll be in a denser asteroid field than normal, with between 2 and 3 other players fighting it out to be the first to the station. The 2 players who survive head on to the Zone Mortalis table where they will dock with the station and try to take it over.

For more on the Enif Station scenario, please see the Storms and Shadows Rulebook.

As a special treat, we'll be revealing a new terrain type for Dogfights at the Enif Station Scenario. We hope to see you there.
Good men hear the call; Great men answer.

I just wanted to thank everyone for turning out for a fantastic Enif Station scenario. While asteroids wreaked havoc tonight it was Cookie's Chaos Marines and Mike's Daemons who made it to the station. After a hard fought battle it was Mike's Daemons who finally got to the stations bridge.

Congratulations to Mike, and thanks to everyone for making the scenario so memorable.
