The GW site is massively lagging right now, but if your patient you can check out pictures of the sprues.

The tactical squad still looks very plain, but i guess you're not going to get much since you're getting 10 models for $40 only 1 grav gun

The Sternguard squad looks pretty good with a bunch of awesome combi-weapons, only 1 plasma and 1 grav gun though

think i may have to pick up some sternguard to use as tac squads now...

I'll admit it... I was not a fan of them at all at first (the Imperial Fist scheme + pic made them look terrible) but this picture is pretty bad ass.

Interesting. It seems for three more bucks, you get access to combi weapons in the tactical squad. Not too terrible considering the hike in codex cost and other ridiculous price increases.

EDIT:
Sternguard sprue looks interesting... I like the emphasis on combi weapons but sad that it is so limited in terms of having to buy multiple boxes or trade for the more popular load outs.

I have to Say I love the Tactical Marine and Sternguard Sprue Layout. If I could afford it I would at least pick up one of Each to finish up the Sternguard I was kitbashing.

Centurions do look vastly different based on the paint job. I expect them to be hit or miss in looks depending on how the colors turn out on them.

You could mix a couple vanguard running legs into a stern guard unit for some really dynamic poses.
