5th Edition Necron Codex? Never?

Is this true what I hear about the Necrons being delayed this 2007 Fall, did anyone hear anything else about this?

Chase and I talked about this briefly on Thursday. Though Necrons are long rumored to be the next codex (following the human / xenos pattern), Chase has heard that the Tau may be next. Reason being, they would be much simpler to update. I sincerely hope this is not the case, as Necrons likely would have to go at least an entire year before a codex update. Also, Tau don't need an update. The right lists remain highly competitive.

It was much later than they normally do.

Also, when I tried to restock the Broadside Battlesuit this past Monday I was told it has been moved over to their "special order" side of the house.  They have been doing this with a lot of blister pack models lately... but when they start moving the models over (and stop selling the codex, specifically) it's usually a sign that the new book is in the works.  When I asked about it my rep said he can't confirm or deny.

You guys probably know better than I do.  I never very rarely read other 40k message boards.

If I had a dollar for everytime I wished necrons were a viable army again, I'd have... enough to but gw and make the codex myself.  But I don't have a dollar, so I can't really do much except complain in the hopes it frustrates them into submission.

I have given up on my Necrons ever getting an update.  I will probably die of surprise if it ever happens.

I wonder if GW will find that Warriors and Immortals no longer make sense together in the same codex.

They will somehow find a way to produce an even more bland codex that will make the Necron players have to reunite the two units only in Apocalypse or if people proxy their Immortals as Warriors in the next Necron codex.

It's like I'm waking up after an awful nightmare.

Witch Hunters in White Dwarf sometime around then also, possibly with some new models and/or plastics.

Witch Hunters in White Dwarf? I don't understand the implications of that phrase. Is it a jump on a WH codex, or some sort of Templars/Dark Angels style FAQ?

I think that's how battle sisters ss an army were done the first time. I may be wrong but before codex witch hunters thry had no codex.
