Starting a game!! Need players!!

I am looking to start a new group at BG on Monday nights. I know that there is currently another group that plays there, but we would respect their space and their game.

I am hoping to get a group of about 5 players and 1 GM/DM/ST/What have you.

I play DnD 3.5 and 4e (4e preferred), WoD, L5R, and am open to learning others. (I would like to possibly run a "Living Realms" Campaign given an opportunity.)

I am willing to run some games, but feel a balanced approach to that is best.

Please be able to show up consistantly and on time to the sessions!

Just out of curiosity, how often would you want to meet?  Every week? Every other week?  I'm interested in your game, but I'm only available every other week.

With the monday night group it is more a matter of them respecting your space and game. They are louder than YuGio and wander the entire front.
Back room is open though.

Well, with the backroom open, I doubt there would be much issues, with the exception of the noise level on occasion.

I also prefer to play 4.e as well, but I'm open to playing 3.5 if that is the group consensus.

While I would prefer a weekly game, a bi-weekly game is a better option, especially for those with jobs.

Sounds like a plan.  Aside from us who've responded to this thread though, have others gotten back to you yet?  I'll be at the shop next Monday, if you'd like to meet in person (that is, if we haven't met already, and I'm just not placing your name to your face).

Battleground will be starting LFR and Dungeon Delves on Monday nights sometime in October.  I expect both of these to be quite popular.

I would like it if whoever is interested in this group to play in each of those events at least once a month.

Once it gets going (starting in November) the format will probably look like LFR mod 1 on the first Monday of each month, Delve on the 2nd Monday, LFR mod 2 on the 3rd Monday, and the Delve again on the 4th Monday…  subject to change based on when Ben is in the state.

We will be looking for people to play and run both.  For those that do run games there is likely to be some small "reward".

I'll be making a post about this in much more detail very soon.

Well Drew knows I want in but won't be around till After my Honeymoon, so 10/20/08 or 10/27/08 work OK for me, I haven't done 4th ed yet, but want to learn, I do play 3.5, Star Wars, Serenity, World of Darkness, and am willing to learn.

I'm possibly interested in DND 4th ed with a monthly or bi-weekly schedule (at most frequent).  I'm learning DND for the first time, had my 2nd game run by Ron (yay Ron for being a kickin' GM) and keeping it all consistent with DND 4th ed would be best for me (less confusion.  You know us Republicans.  We're not so smart.)

I'm curious about the time thought.  Earliest I could attend on Mondays would be 6:30 but 7 would be better.  I work later on Mondays than on Wednesdays.  Don't let me hold up what others want to do.  Just proffering myself.  Cheers!

Well, if anyone can make it this week, anyone at all, we can start talking a bit. I know Scott won't be able to make it, he has too much going on at this exact moment, and for the next few weeks as well. If people can make it, we can talk about possible direction for the game, numbers of people, who will be in, start time, end time, attendance expectations. I have found putting all of this out on the table first thing the game and the group will be a better experience for every one.
