So I might run a Battle Box tournament on 3/18...

I don't care too much where it lands, but I think I'd like the 18th the best.

I would do a 10 or 15 dollar fee.  I know it's going to be a small turnout, although there's a fair bit of interest from people that either haven't played yet or have yet to buy some models.  They are the reason why I wanted to see that Journeyman league here.  It'll happen in time though.

I really want to do a Journeyman in Plainville. I've got lots of unpainted models to get going When some time opens up, we'll make it happen.

I'd love to play in this battlebox tourney. I could arrange my work schedule to play on the 25th of 31st. I'd be happy to run it.

Rich, I would say since it's a straight battlebox then you'd be correct. Chase put the alt lists in one of the first posts. Aside from those, you'd have to use a regular battlebox.

What about the rules for home made battle boxes? Im not trying to gain an advantage, but i don't have the money to buy one of the listed casters and jacks for the tournament. There are rules for making your own battle box that go something like, no more than 11 points, no less than 9, no character jacks, and no repetition of jacks. I totally understand that we aren't going to change the whole tournament just to accommodate me, but i thought i would throw this out there for consideration any way. I'm not trying to gain an advantage, its purely a monetary issue. Either way, I hope this turns out and i'll probably show up either way just to watch.

Sounds perfectly reasonable, and i just realized, willem has both the models for the cygnar AND khador battle boxes so i can just use the khador one of the Juggernaut, destroyer, and Sorcha. This is going to be a blast, and hopefully it will really foster the growth of people playing warmachine at Plainville.

my only complaint would be that it is far away. Though that would give a lot of the new players time to get their battle boxes assembled, painted, and more importantly, give them a chance to learn to play them.
