1sd Edition "One Shot" game Sat August 10

On Sat 8/10/13 I will be holding a one shot 1st ed AD&D game.  It will begin with the opening of the store when you roll for characters.  I have two (possibly 3) players already but I'm looking for 6-8.  If you are interested post here.  The game will last until you are dead, finish the adventure, or the store closes. It will begin at 1st level, and should carry through to 2nd.  If players agree, then in a few months I can run another "one Day event"  for those who survived to second level.

If my work schedule hasn't changed to saturdays before then Ill be there. (I dont see it changing that fast, ill let you know if I cant go)

Most of this I'll go over that morning when we make characters. The basic classes and races from the player's handbook. So long as you meet the prerequisites.  I'm a bit forgiving with the rolling of characteristics, basically 4d6 (dropping the lowest of the 4 dice) six times and placing those results where you need them.  That way people have a chance of playing something they like.

Hi,

I have not played in almost 12 years. Played 2nd Ed when I was in the USAF in the early 90's. Grew up playing basic, then expert then on to AD&D. I'd be interested at some point joining in on something like this. How often do you put these types of things together?
