to the Venerable High Priest Vaelt,

It has been some weeks since I have left your sturdy hand of
guidance and the strong presence of the temple.  But as I
embraced the charge given to me by the Matriarch Mother, I
have found strength in my prayers to
Manann.

My benefactor has heeded the words of Matriarch Mother
and has provided for much of my needs, transport, room and
board.  Fernando Manuel Whitelock, an elf of the Empire,
while not a true believer, has taken to the Blessings of
Manann.
He does not care for the daily rites of our faith but does look
for the protection that
Manann provides, whilest in his domain.
His bodyguard, a dwarf whose name could not be spoken by
my tongue, shows a goodness for those in his charge, but
little to the teachings of
Manann.  There is not much to be
done of this dwarf.

Our travel over open seas was safely granted by
Manann.
Throughout the many days and weeks, the sailors of our ship
the Waverunner were afforded daily prayers and the hours were
filled with stories and instruction.  With a strong, warm wind
and favorable tides, our ship arrived to a port on the Isle of Sartosa.

As many a stories told, there are damned sailors who have
scorned
Manann by their own breath, but doubly more so of
men that look to
Manann’s blessing for the life they seek on
the seas.  These, accept me neutrally, and
Manann’s blessings
eagerly.  To these, I have spent these first few days here in port
administering the verse and meaning of scripture.  The Others,
true pirates, godless men to be scourge, take
Manann’s blessings
for their own greed, not for the sake of their belief.  They look for
profit and gain and shun the vessel of deliverance.  And whilest
they are anxious to take, these Others require the most attention
for our sake and theirs.  In this place,
Manann has provided to me
a great challenge --
the conversion of the faithless and of the unwilling.

I look forward to the day to rejoin you at the temple to expand my
knowledge and receive
Manann’s blessings through your spoken
word.  I ready myself for the rite of the mast and to understand
all of
Manann.

Steadfast,

Jesus.

to the Venerable High Priest Vaelt,

I remain in this life, seeking the Blessings of
Manann, all the while still unable to find the true path.  I do understand that it is not of Manann to bare open life’s travel, but it is difficult at best when answers provided only beget more questions.

As my physical travels have brought me to Remis, I scribe this letter under the watch and protection of High Priest Antoni at the main temple.  I remain cloistered in deep prayer after undergoing the rite of the mast.  I can not comprehend why
Manann is indifferent to the praise I offer, yet definitive in pronouncing his latest standard bearer in the vessel of the dwarf bodyguard.  Unmistakably, Manann fills the thoughts and spirit of this earthen heathen and within a moment he becomes a “true believer.”  As of my last letter, I noted that there was not much to be done with him; now it appears that there is little for me to do.

And now, both my benefactor Fernando Manuel Whitelock and this newly-made marine of
Manann, travel back to you seeking knowledge of Manann for their own sake.  Theirs is but a path that crosses all that is of Manann.

Perhaps it is the will of
Manann that I take back to the open sea and once again seek out the Isle of Sartosa.  It does call to me; to turn my attention to those non-believers; to convert those faithless but perhaps willing.  Of course, my charge is at your discretion and my board at the purse of High Priest Antoni.  As I have no means of securing travel, I look to the temple for financial support and to Manann for his blessing.

“As many a stories told, there are damned sailors who have scorned
Manann by their own breath, but doubly more so of men that look to Manann's blessing for the life they seek on the seas.”  Of these words, I accept my own account of my actions, and yet eagerly await Manann's blessings.

I look for gain of
Manann's blessings and have shunned the vessel of deliverance.  And whilest I am anxious to take, it seems I require the most attention.  In this place of Sartosa, Manann has provided to me a great challenge of myself.

I look forward to the day to rejoin you at the temple to expand my knowledge and receive
Manann's blessings through your spoken word.  With High Priest Antoni’s direction, I will send word from Sartosa.

Seeking life through
Manann,
Jesus.
