Another podcast without Sims. Turns out he was available this week but due to miscommunication he accidentally got excluded and we recorded in the new Norton location without him. Lots of talk with Derek and Chase about the new location, plans for opening, and what’s going to be happening in both Battleground locations over the next month. Don’t worry Sims fans, he will return next week!

While Simeon is way out west taking part in E3 Andrew is left to his own devices. Today we have on the podcast somebody who has been around Battleground practically since the very beginning: our friend Serena. She and Andrew talk about the state of Role Playing Games, the impending move of our Plainville store to Norton, and games we’ve played and look forward to playing. Enjoy!

Behind The Shield – Episode 18 – “Ramblin’ On”

It’s a pretty slow week this week. So a lot of the talk you’re going to here is just Andrew and I rambling. But I think it’s fun. Consider it random story telling time! And who doesn’t like listening to a bunch of stories? Also, if you’re planning on getting on a plane soon, then this might be the episode for you since I’ll be leaving for a trip in a couple of days and we discuss TSA protocol. I get a little confused about what I can pack and what I can pack. It’s a shame too, I really wanted to bring some of my grenades. I guess that won’t be happening any time soon. Enjoy the episode!

It’s a new week, but this time Andrew and I are all by ourselves. We can’t spoil you every week with a cool guest. This week we take on the Spiel Des Jahres and I butcher the name every time I try to say it. While we haven’t played most of the games in the lists, it does open our eyes to a whole world of other games we need to play. So come in and listen to this week’s episode and discover some new games for you to play.

On this week’s show its more of the usual: what we played this week, gaming news, and random bantering. Ally and Nate are back, but this time their on the show to share their knowledge regarding Warmachine from Privateer Press. Also, it’s my birthday this week. And I wish for all of you to help donate or spread the word about this year’s Extra Life campaign. Here’s a link to the page if you want to donate or share with others who can. We a little over $2100 last year and $2500 the year before. Help us beat those numbers this year! Thanks so much for listening!

This week, Andrew and I are joined by a special guest – Alex Moon. He’s on this week to talk about his experience playing Warhammer 40K. We also pick his brain about how to get into the game as a beginner. More importantly, we talk about the decline of the game and what can be done to help preserve it and help maintain a healthy level of competitiveness.
