As most of you know, sessions of Dungeons and Dragons can be very involving. I’ve started sessions at 4 PM and ended them the following morning around 7 AM. In some cases, I’ve gone into sessions with very little sleep. Thanks to technology, playing the game has gotten a little more convenient. I mean, you can play from the comfort of your own home. Just log into your computer and save up on gas money.
Thanks to Twitch, not only can you host your own D&D session, but other can come watch and witness the debauchery that can ensue. However, in some cases, the game can be very taxing and can catch you at your weakest. Take a look at this video where one of the players has a little too much fun and starts snoring during the live stream. We’re all human and these things happen. But it’s so much better when others can see it as well. My favorite part is how the DM tries to wake up his PC.

Pauper has become quite the format on Magic Online once again thanks to the re-introduction of league play. Today I wanted to quickly look over one of the popular decks currently being played in the format. In paper form, these decks tend to be on the very affordable side of the spectrum. However, because some of these cards have seen limited print runs online, they can be somewhat expensive digitally.
Right now, let’s take a look at RUG Tron:
Main board
4 Fangren Marauder
4 Mulldrifter
4 Sea Gate Oracle
1 Ulamog’s Crusher
4 Ancient Stirrings
2 Rolling Thunder
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Chromatic Sphere
4 Chromatic Star
4 Expedition Map
4 Prismatic Lens
4 Prophetic Prism
4 Haunted Fengraf
1 Shimmering Grotto
4 Urza’s Mine
4 Urza’s Power Plant
4 Urza’s Tower
Side board
3 Circle of Protection: Green
3 Circle of Protection: Red
2 Doom Blade
3 Earth Rift
4 Rest for the Weary
I haven’t played this deck, but I have gone up against it. And it’s quite the deck. Now, the deck I played against online was a mono green version, but I couldn’t find the exact list. However, it didn’t differ much from this list besides the fact that it didn’t play blue or red. This list is still just as good and I still would have been smashed by this deck.
The mono green deck I played against replaced Sea Gate Oracle with Fierce Empath to tutor for the big creatures in the deck. It also replaces Mulldrifter with Maul Splicer for some scary synergy and more creatures to beat you with.
It looks like a very fun deck to play. You get to cast some ridiculously big creatures during turns you normally wouldn’t. However, it’s biggest weakness is against counter spells. It can only say okay to them and shrug it’s shoulders. So if you play against a deck like Mono Blue Delver, just play your spells. You can try to wait for an opening, but thanks to spells like Cloud of Faeries, Snap, and Spellstutter Sprite, they can have quite the number of resources available to them.
Well that’s it for now. See you all next time…

In honor of the release of The Force Awakens, and mostly because not many of you are home to read this, here is another video. This time it’s the final match from the Worlds 2015 Star Wars Aramada Championship. Not much more explanation needed here. Just sit back and enjoy the show. And may the force be with you.
PS. I won’t be able to see the movie until Sunday (hopefully). So please, no spoilers. Thanks!

Okay, remember how yesterday I said I was going to wait a bit until I posted the rest of Jon’s cube draft from the Extra Life event? Well, I lied. So here is part 3:
And here is part 4:
That’s it! Feel free to make fun of him and all his wrong decisions, but keep it civil. Let me know if you enjoy video like these and we’ll try to keep making more at the store! Thanks for tuning in! Until next time…

At this year’s Extra Life event we were able to set up a live stream and record a lot of the action. Sadly, because we were so new at this, some of the footage didn’t make it. However, the action we did manage to save has finally shown itself. Here is part 1 of the draft portion:
And here is part 2:
In this video, we’re watching one of the Abington locals, Jon Kerman, in action. Feel free to comment how bad (or good) you think he did in the comment section. Please remember to be respectful and don’t flame him. He’s still trying to figure this game out. Check back in a few days where I’ll post the rest of his draft, and then I’ll release some of his game play.
PS. Don’t mind the other vids on my channel. As a freelance journalist, I sometimes host game trailers. Feel free to watch them as well. In the future we may start a Battleground channel to centralize the video content.

Hey Star Wars: X-Wing fans. It looks like a new expansion will be releasing in March. Check out the new Imperial Veterans. According to the images, it looks like players will be getting a TIE Bomber as well as a red TIE defender. Inside the box you’ll also get “…eight veteran pilots and 13 upgrade cards, and a new Disable the Relays mission card.” The MSRP has been set at $29.99.
