Wizards of the Coast Announces New ‘Modern Event Deck’

Wizards of the Coast announced last week, a brand new Event Deck product. This time, the new product will feature the Modern format. Here is the press release, quoted in it’s entirety:
“Your power is here. Your time is now.”
“Get started with the deep-strategy Modern format in style! Draw on rare, high-powered Magic cards from past sets with this tightly constructed 60-card deck. Also includes a 15-card sideboard, strategy guide, Spindown life counter, 80 exclusive card sleeves, 5 double-sided tokens, and a deck box.
We are excited to introduce a new deck product to support the Modern format. This is meant to be in-line with the Event Decks we have released for specific sets except this is not set-specific and is for Modern rather than for Standard.”

New Expansions for ‘Summoner Wars’ Announced

According to ICv2.com, Plaid Hat Games will release two new Second Summoner Faction Decks for their Summoner Warsdeck building game in April:Jungle Elves and Cloaks.
The new decks will round out the original eight Summoner Wars factions. Both decks have their own Summoner (Jexik for Cloaks, Nikuya Nafor for Jungle Elves), set-up card, Champions, Commons, Walls and Event Cards. As single faction decks, they do require any Summoner Wars Master Set or Starter Set to play.

About Carcassonne:
Carcassonne is a tile-placement game in which the players draw and place a tile with a piece of southern French landscape on it. The tile might feature a city, a road, a cloister, grassland or some combination thereof, and it must be placed adjacent to tiles that have already been played, in such a way that cities are connected to cities, roads to roads, etcetera. Having placed a tile, the player can then decide to place one of his meeples on one of the areas on it: on the city as a knight, on the road as a robber, on a cloister as a monk, or on the grass as a farmer. When that area is complete, that meeple scores points for its owner.
