Journey into Nyx Event Deck List Revealed

Wizards of the Coat featured writer Mike McArtor revealed today on Dailymtg.com the packaging and full deck list of the up coming Journey into Nyx Event deck. Event decks are 60-card pre-constructed decks (including a 15-card sideboard) designed to be competitive for Friday Night Magic. In this case, the Journey into Nyx features a blue and red “burn” deck. Check it out!

Wizards of the Coast Announces ‘Clash Packs’

Wizards of the Coast, makers of the popular Magic the Gathering card game, announced last week a brand new product called ‘Clash Packs.’ Coming with the release of this summer’s Magic 2015 set, ‘Clash Packs’ will replace the ‘Event Deck’ for Magic 2015.
Designed for two players, this product will contain two, sixty-card preconstructed decks and is designed to be a product to introduce new players to the game.
In addition to the two decks, a ‘Clash Pack’ contains the following:

- Two ready-to-play sixty-card decks
- Six premium cards with alternative art
- Deck box
- Strategy insert
- Magic rules reference card

Wizards of the Coast Announces New ‘Modern Event Deck’

Wizards of the Coast announced last week, a brand new Event Deck product. This time, the new product will feature the Modern format. Here is the press release, quoted in it’s entirety:

“Get started with the deep-strategy Modern format in style! Draw on rare, high-powered Magic cards from past sets with this tightly constructed 60-card deck. Also includes a 15-card sideboard, strategy guide, Spindown life counter, 80 exclusive card sleeves, 5 double-sided tokens, and a deck box.
We are excited to introduce a new deck product to support the Modern format. This is meant to be in-line with the Event Decks we have released for specific sets except this is not set-specific and is for Modern rather than for Standard.”
