RULES FOR WALKER IN A WINTER WONDERLAND:

Rule Books:

This is an abstract event and follows SOME rules from the 40k rulebook, but is mainly based around having fun.

The Warhammer 40,000 Sixth Edition Rules will be used.

MODELS:

Each player must bring a Walker.  Any Walker is fine.  Superheavy Walkers are discouraged based on size.

HOW WALKERS IN A WINTER WONDERLAND WORKS:

Objective:  Kill Walkers.  Collect Candy Canes.

At the end of the event the player with the most Candy Canes wins.

The event will be run as a “free for all” with each player fighting for himself on the same table.

Players will have 60 seconds to resolve their turn.  Don’t think, just kill.

• Each player deploys their Walker anywhere in one of 6 locations on the table, determined by a die roll.

• Players will roll randomly to determine deployment order.  Highest roll will place last and go first.

• All Walkers (regardless of type) start the game with 5 hull points.

• When a Walker reaches 0 hull points it is destroyed.  When a Walker is destroyed it drops a Candy Cane.

• Movement: Walkers always move 6” in the movement phase.

• Shooting: During the shooting phase each Walker may fire 2 shots.  Roll 2 D6.  The shots hit an enemy vehicle on a die rule of a 4, 5, or 6.  For every shot that hits a vehicle, roll a D6.  On a die roll of 5 or 6, that vehicle loses a hull point.

• All Walker guns have a range of 36 inches.

• Assault: If a model ends its assault move in contact with another model roll a D6.  On a roll of 5 or 6 the model has successfully assaulted the enemy Walker and it loses 1 hull point.

• To recover a Candy Cane your Walker must be base to base with it at the end of your turn (yes, you may assault Candy Canes).  If you reduce the enemy Walker to 0 hull points on an assault you may immediately recover the Candy Cane.

• When your Walker is destroyed it is removed from the table and then can redeploy at the start of the next player turn.  It will respawn anywhere in one of the 6 deployment zones, as determined by a die roll.  Also, you lose 1 Candy Cane you may have recovered, minimum 0.

What You Need to Bring with You:
-Your (hopefully painted) Walker
-Dice
-Tape measure

Awards:  The winner of the event will be given a non-super heavy Walker of their choice.

‘Yu-Gi-Oh’ HeroClix: Series One Sneak Peek

Check out this special sneak-peek first published by ICv2.com of the Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One 24 Ct. Gravity Feed, releasing February 5th.  Series One will feature 55 figures with the following rarity scheme:  16 Common figures, 15 Uncommon figures, 12 Rare figures, 9 Super-Rare figures, and 3 Chase figures.

The Asura Priest (pictured left & below) begins play with its Multiple Arms special power which allows it to make up to four separate close combat attacks in one turn! Of course, when you have so many arms it’s much easier to attack enemies all around you than to concentrate on just one foe, so Multiple Arms has a special condition that no more than two attacks can target the same character.

Early-dial, the Asura Priest also enjoys the benefits of Willpower, which allows it to act two turns in a row with no fear of pushing damage, and Battle Fury.  While Battle Fury prevents another friendly character from carrying the Asura Priest into battle, it does allow the Asura Priest to ignore Mind Control and Incapacitate attacks, as well as Shape Change when it makes attacks of its own!

About ‘Yu-Gi-Oh’ HeroClix Series One

Publisher: WizKids
Release Date: Starter Set (December 18, 2013), Gravity Feed (February 5, 2014)
MSRP:  Starter ($24.99); Foil Packs ($2.99)

RULES FOR TANKSGIVING

Rule Books:
The Warhammer 40,000 Sixth Edition Rules will be used.

The following is a list of legal army choices:
Codex: Blood Angels
Codex: Chaos Daemons
Codex: Chaos Space Marines
Codex: Grey Knights
Codex: Dark Angels
Codex: Dark Eldar
Codex: Eldar
Codex: Imperial Guard
Codex: Necrons
Codex: Orks
Codex: Space Marines
Codex: Space Wolves
Codex: Tau
Codex: Adepta Sororitas

MODELS AND POINTS:

1. Each player must bring a tank.  Any tank will do.  ANY tank.  No point limit.

2. Super heavies are allowed

3. All models must follow “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG). All
weapons, war gear, and so forth must be represented on the model.

4. Forge World Imperial Armor units may be used.

HOW TANKSGIVING WORKS:

Objective:  Kill tanks.

At the end of the event the player with the most points wins.

The event will be run as a “free for all” with each player fighting for himself on the same table.

Kills caused by ramming do not score points.

Super Heavies will have Hull Points equivalent to their ForgeWorld updates.

Players will have 60 seconds to resolve their turn.  Don’t think, just kill.

• Scoring System:

Immobilized enemy Vehicle:  1pt
Killed enemy Vehicle:  2pts
Killed enemy Super Heavy Vehicle:  5pts

Your Vehicle is destroyed:  -1pt
Your Super Heavy Vehicle is destroyed:  -2pts

*There may be objectives that players can claim that are worth additional points each round.

• Upgrade Rolls:

Obviously Baneblades and Land raiders and other large vehicles will have a
distinct advantage in this game so to balance things out cheaper vehicles get
to roll on the upgrade table before battle commences. Vehicles 150pts or under
get 2 rolls on the table; vehicles 151-210pts get one roll. Vehicles 211 pts or
more get nothing.

• Upgrade Table Roll D6

1  –  Safety Harness (Ignore Shaken and Stunned Results)
2  –  Gyroscopic Stabilizers (Veh. Counts as moving 6” less for shooting purposes.)
3  –  Targeting Matrix (+1 BS)
4  –  Venerable (may make enemy reroll on Damage Table)
5  –  Ablative Armor (+1 side, front, rear Armor to a max 14)
6  –  Super Shot. (One extra shot at S10 from your main gun)

Players may “trade down” on this chart.  Example:  If you roll a 5 you can choose to take result 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

• Each player deploys their vehicle anywhere in one of 6 locations on the table, determined by a die roll.

• Players will roll randomly to determine deployment order.  Highest roll will place last and go first.

• When your vehicle is destroyed it is removed from the table and then can come on at the start of the next player’s turn.  It will respawn anywhere in one of the 6 deployment zones, as determined by a die roll.

The Sixth Edition Rulebook will be in use for all games and will be the definitive guide
for all rules.

What You Need to Bring with You:
-Your (hopefully painted) tank
-A copy of the EXACT rules governing your tank
-Rulebooks and any additional books you need
-Pen and paper
-Dice and templates
-Tape measure

Awards:  The winner of the event will be given a non-super heavy tank of their choice.
