CoolMiniOrNot Announces Kickstarter for New Board Game

CoolMiniOrNot, publisher of ‘Super Dungeon Explore,’ announced plans to launch its new deck building game ‘XenoShyft Onslaught’ to the in Q4, following Kickstarter backer fulfillment in November, according to hobby news website ICv2.com.
The sci-fi themed game casts one to four players in the role of a commander in the NorTec Corporation, defending a division of the base as aliens attempt to destroy it. Players must work together, to survive nine rounds of alien bombardment using a wide array of troops, weapons, armors and technology cards.
The box will contain over 400 cards, a large fold-out poster game board, a rubber backed playmat, 2 d10s, 20 cardboard wound markers, 20 ability markers, an organization and holding tray, and a rulebook. There will be a planned add-on pack of four folding lane board available as well to customize the base game.
The Kickstarter, which started last week, quickly passed its modest goal of $25,000 in a few hours.

Queens Games Announces ‘Escape: Zombie City’

Queens Games, publishers of ‘Kingdom Builder’ and may other fine games available at Battleground Games & Hobbies, has announced a new dice-rolling game called ‘Escape: Zombie City’ – their second real-time dice-rolling game after ‘Escape: Curse of the Temple’ – according to hobby news source ICv2.com.
The new game, with an expected release date of sometime in October of this year, is a timed cooperative game with a strict fifteen-minute time limit for two to five players.

New ‘Duels of the Planeswalkers’ Trailer Released Today!

Wizards of the Coast, publishers of both Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons (among other hit games) released today a brand new trailer to their upcoming ‘Duels of the Planeswalkers’ video game release. WizKids Announces ‘DC HeroClix: War of Light’

WizKids has announced it will release DC HeroClix: War of Light–Alternate Color Lantern Packs for its collectible miniatures game HeroClix on September 24th, according to hobby industry news website ICv2.com.
The DC HeroClix: War of Light is part of the summer storyline event organized play, which begins in June. All the SKUs, with the exception of the Sinestro Corps War Scenario Packs which released in May, were OP exclusives, not for retail sale. The new Alternate Color Lantern Packs are a for-sale retail product.
The Lantern Packs come in an assortment case, which has six Lantern Packs total. The three packs are Red and Violet, Orange and Indigo, and Yellow and Blue. Each pack contains two Central Power Battery Resource Object (one of each color), and two sets of corresponding-colored Construct Special Objects.
